Bert Hoare

Albert Alfred "Bert" Hoare (22 November 1874 – 25 January 1962) was an Australian politician. Born in Alberton, South Australia, he was educated at state schools before becoming a labourer, storeman and shearer, and an official with the Australian Workers' Union. In 1922, he was elected to the Australian Senate as a Labor Senator for South Australia, holding the seat until his defeat in 1934. In 1944, he returned to politics as a Labor member of the South Australian Legislative Council, serving until 1956. Hoare died in 1962.[1]
